The Wallflowers taped Soundstage at WTTW Studios in Chicago on Tuesday, May 3rd. The intimate studio was packed with over 350 people, who were treated to a diverse setlist, beautiful sound, a great light show, which included pictures taken from the album art, close- up shots of band members during the performance, and other graphics. Aside from a rare performance of Halo, the crowd was also treated to 5 songs from the upcoming Rebel, Sweetheart and a new arrangement of "Letters From The Wasteland" that started out acoustic (Jakob and Rami), the full band joined in, and ended with just Jakob and Rami. Jakob & Rami played 2 more songs ("Hand Me Down" and "For the Life of Me") and 1/2 of "One Headlight." When the full band joined the song midway through, it brought the house down. The full setlist:

The Wallflowers headlined the Crawfish Boil '05 charity festival, which attracted more than 40,000 people, in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, May 14th. They played last in the lineup after 3 other bands, starting a little after 10:00 p.m. They played 5 new songs from the upcoming Rebel, Sweetheart and closed with their cover of Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home."
